Cancer is  disease  in which the cells of the body become abnormal and multiply without control. There are more than 100 types of cancer cells in the world.Most cancers are named after the organs affected. 

Beningn tumors are not cancerous- They can be removed and do not invade any other tissues,.

Malignant tumors are cancerous.-They divide abnormally and spread to other parts also.

-Carcinoma - cancer that begins in the skin or in tissues that line or cover internal organs.

-Sarcoma - cancer that begins in bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels, or other connective or suportive tissue.

-Leukemia - cancer that starts in blood-forming tissue such as the bone marrow and causes large numbers of abnormal blood cells to be produced and enter the blood.

-Lymphoma and myeloma - cancers that begin in the cells of the immune system.

-Central nervous system cancers - cancers that begin in the tissues of the brain and spinal cord.

METASTASIS

Cancer cells may invade near by tissues and can spread through the blood and lymphatic streams to other parts of the body also. This is called as Metastasis

When the DNA gets damaged or changed mutations happen, and this will lead the cells to multiply abnormally instead of getting died off.

The risk of developing many types of cancer can be reduced by  healthy lifestyle habits. This includes eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, and not smoking.

The other reason are  occupational hazards, infections, radiations, sun exposure, exogenous hormones etc.

Also, the early detection of  a cancer and treatment, the chances are there for  the treatment to be successful.
